Hope Home
Established in 2013, Hope Home is MANEDA’s specialised residential Child Care
Institution (CCI), located in Katomei Centre Village, Senapati District — about one
kilometre from the district headquarters. It provides safe, structured, nurturing
residential care for girls who are orphaned, semi-orphaned, abandoned, surrendered, or
otherwise in need of care and protection, in accordance with the Juvenile Justice (Care
and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and guided throughout by the principle of the
Best Interests of the Child.
Beyond shelter, Hope Home is a space for healing, growth and empowerment, offering
round-the-clock care, education, healthcare, nutritious meals, psychosocial support,
life-skills education and vocational training. Each resident receives an Individual Care
Plan tailored to her educational, physical, emotional, psychological, social and
developmental needs.

FY 2024–25 Highlights
- Provided residential care to 49 girls from 28 villages, with 100% school enrolment and retention
- Individual academic support plans introduced for children with learning challenges, alongside digital learning tools and supplementary coaching
- Vocational training offered in tailoring, crafts, kitchen gardening and computer literacy, plus structured life-skills sessions on decision-making, time management and communication
- Under-17 girls' football team won 1st Runner-Up at the State-Level Inter-CCI Football League Knockout 2025; Hope Home also received the Best Discipline Award
- Annual Sports cum Literary Meet held under the theme “Celebrating Her” (12–14 October 2024)
- Observed International Labour Day, World Youth Skills Day, World Nature Conservation Day, Independence Day, and Swachhta Hi Sewa 2024
Hope Home Library
Through a one-year partnership with Bookworm, Goa, Hope Home established a
dedicated, fully functional child-friendly library — including facilitator training,
curated children’s literature and a structured reading programme — laying the
foundation for a lasting culture of reading and lifelong learning at the Home.
